ARCADIA
KTO THEATRE, KRAKOW, POLAND
“ARCADIA” appears the life of a modern Everyman (from birth to death); the lamen- tation after the hero’s death, showing his good and bad deeds, as a frantic pace, a dance ritual of passing away.
We do not encounter bitterness or regret for what is irretrievably gone. Instead, they are replaced by chil- dren’s joy, singing and fun. Paradise is hid- den in them. Directing weaves an Arcadian landscape out of ev- erything that is most beautiful and cruel in earthly life.
